Douglas McNeill was born the 23rd October 1990. He lived a positive, successful and influential life bringing happiness to everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him. Douglas was the type of person that no matter how long you knew him or how many times you met him, you remembered him and he would influence you in one way or another. He spoke his mind, stood up for what he believed in and looked out for everybody that was close to him.

Douglas was a true friend, he would tell you when he disagreed with something and support you all the way when he agreed, he would go out of his way to help you without a second thought for himself and he was somebody you could not only trust, but rely on in many ways. Whenever you was sad Douglas would be there for you to comfort you and share his amazing sense of humour. His bubbly, selfless and intelligent character will be deeply missed by everybody who knew him, but never forgotten.

Douglas was a true treasure to his family and friends and life for them will never be the same without him. He was studying at university and had such a positive future in which he would continue to make his family and friend proud of him. Whenever there was a party or gathering you could always rely on Douglas to be the one to keep the atmosphere so exciting and positive, his friendly and caring characteristics are only a few factors of his personality that made everybody so grateful to have somebody like Douglas in their life.

Douglas admired a Cuban revolutionary philosopher/poet called Jose Marti and this is a quote from Jose Marti that Douglas used to describe himself shortly before he passed away.

Yo soy un hombre sincero
De donde crece la palma,
Y antes de morirme quiero
Echar mis versos del alma.

A sincere man am I
From the land where palm trees grow,
And I want before I die
My soul's verses to bestow.

Douglas the world is a sadder place now God has taken you to help him. You have made a lot of people happy in your short life by being in their lives and you will never be forgotten.

Rest In Peace Douglas
